Jerry Moe served for years as The National Director of Children’s Programs at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage Ca. until his recent retirement. He is a published author, counselor, trainer and probably one of the world’s foremost authorities on children and substance use. With a background in sociology, education and counseling, Jerry developed a program for kids ages 7 to 12 years old. His program was among the first of its kind and is nationally recognized and emulated by mental health professionals, treatment centers and organizations.
Jerry began consulting for the Betty Ford Center in 1997 after he was contacted by former First Lady Betty Ford. Mrs. Ford was committed to family recovery for addiction, including the youngest people impacted. He became the program director in 1998. Moe has written dozens of books and articles that are used by families and professionals around the world.
