Letters To BIS KIDS

The children’s program features fun activities that encourage prevention and intervention through artwork, music, play activities, movement, role-playing, puppets, storytelling, games and prizes. Breaks and playtime are scheduled during each session. We encourage kids to be kids: to laugh, play, be curious, and explore. Skilled counselors lead all group sessions and trained “assistants” help with program activities.

The Founder and Directors of BIS KIDS would like to thank Jerry Moe and his staff at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage California for their training, guidance and encouragement. Without them this program would not have happened.

BIS KIDS is an inter-active 2 day workshop for children 7-12 years of age. We use age -appropriate language, games, prizes, music, art, role playing, stories videos and fun to teach children about addiction and the important life skills they need to overcome adversity and stay drug free. Parents and families are invited to join us on the second day and are encouraged to participate in a group workshop with their children. Skilled counselors lead all the group sessions and trained assistants help with program activities.
